We arrived in Cambodia!

Tonight is our first night in Cambodia’s capital city Phnom Penh. A crowd of cheering banner waiving Peace Corpse volunteers lining the airport exit-way received us. It was an extremely enthusiastic welcome that far exceeded our jet lagged dampened energy level making us all feel very appreciated. Amongst the cheering crowd were the outgoing volunteers finishing their Cambodian service.  We are their replacements. A big thanks to them all for making us feel so welcome.

Tomorrow begins our training. I am excited to begin and hope to be bringing you some photos of Cambodia soon. For all of you who are concerned, know that I have made it safely.
